That agent just called: His clients found things at their first choice they did not like, and they want to see MY house tomorrow morning, They will be there about 7:30 AM.
He reiterated that he destroyed the paper he wrote the code on, and I gave it to him again.
Another agent called earlier asking about it, and will call back later.
Asking for all your good thoughts and vibes that my house gets sold tomorrow!

I will do that. I am close enough that I can. And I plan to change the code with some frequency.
I do what I can to make it appear there is someone there by keeping the yard clean, the flyers off the door, plantings watered, etc.

The url asks for real estate license number, NOT DRIVERS license. Or, his name, or location can be input into that site.
My question is, do the AZ agents carry a copy of their real estate license, or should they know it, much as one might know their SS number or phone number?
the suggestion to call a broker and ask what info is generally given out is a good one.
Thanks.

Yes, I did. He had immediately identified himself by name, company, and gave me his phone number.
I asked for his license number, thinking anybody could give any name, but only the agent would know his RE license number.
He gave me a number which the site said was too short.
He said the number he gave me was his MLS number, that they write that down on the agent sign in sheet. He gave me his name again--he identified himself as soon as I answered--and he is there in the system, and I did write the info down.
He told me he would show the house early next morning, and that his client has a letter.
I forgot to ask him to fax his business card.

Do the agents not carry a copy of their RE license with them?

When I got to the house, it did appear that no one had been there. When I got back home, he had called and said they had not come to my house, that his clients had chosen a house the saw earliler, and he had called my agent.
I called him to thank him for his courtesy in calling me. He said he destroyed the code to my box, and would bring by others if they were interested, that the area is a good one.

Thanks for your help with this.

When I was having a problem with delays, denials, and disputed items, I contacted my politicians. That helped a little, and if my lawyer had been working for ME, it may have made a difference. He wasn't. The insurance company offered him a job, and he would start it after my case was decided. He told me that. He implied that if I lost, he won...
He would work for them and their insurance policy, their retirement benefits, their paycheck, etc, and basically all he had to do was play ball with them against me.
Being where I was, I was unable to get a different lawyer, and tried to get a malpractice suit against him.
I couldn't get anything going.
Finally, I did get a lawyer to take my case, and after discussion, I made a decision as to futher action.

What a pain. You probably know by now that the insurance companies work HARD to keep the money they collect from their clients, and will do whatever it takes to keep it.
What alternatives have you found to get them moving to get this settled ot into court sooner? Have you perused or questioned at any of the legal sites?
Best wishes to you.
I KNOW these guys will get theirs: what goes around comes around.

A fellow called yesterday, and I asked for his license number, figuring that somebody could say any agent's name.
SO the fellow gave me a short number, and when I put it in, I got a message that it was not long enough. The man said that was his MLS number, and that's what the agents here write on the sign in sheet.
He did give me his name, phone number, and company. I gave him the code.
Do agents use a "MLS "number? Do they carry their RE License with them? Should he have been able to pull it out and read it to me?
What am I missing here?

He was going over this morning with clients. I'll go over in a bit to do some yardwork and check on the place.
Thanks,

Some of them may be.

It's time to eliminate useless records.
When a doc asks for medical records, how far back do they go? Two years? Five? Ten?

I have some medical records going back several years. Are they of any use? Should I keep them, and for how long? Is there any reason they will be of use to me or my family, will I ever need them, especially those over 5 or 10 years old?

Thanks

I have my house listed on several by owner sites and the local mls. I have gotten a few calls from "real people" but most responses have been similar to the following, which arrived today:
"Good Day,
I was just browsing the housing classification and determine that your selling. We are buying property in all areas at across America, and if youhavent sold your real estate yet, please visit us today for furtherinformation. Url of Website:http://www.___________/propertybuyers/
all the best
julie"

I hate to go to them, thinking most are scammers and don't want to be involved with that.
Am I missing something here? If they were legit, wouldn't they make an offer, at least to find out more, rather than telling ME to go to them?

Or, am I being stupid when I don't go to the sites? I did go to one, and got a large warning on my computer about it being a dangerous site--virus or something, I want to sell at a fair value, not to be ripped off...
