Thanks, Mark. You're right, of course. I guess the strain of all this got to me.

The agents see a different ad, and that one does have my number on it: "Agent Only Remarks: Call owner to see or for (keysafe) code 520-546----

My sudden realization was that regular people who want to buy from the owner rather than using an agent, have only his long distance number to call.
Of course, they could drive past the house, or look for it on Craigslist. I see people can do a craigslist search on the address, and it will turn up. That ad has my contact info, as well as a photo of it w a for sale sign in front.

They won't of course, I just thought MY phone number would be on it, too. I guess I misunderstood, and would have preferred to spend my $400 for a local flat fee lister that has a local phone number.
My question is will regular people who might be interested in my house otherwise, call a long distance number to get more info, and MY phone number? I don't know if I would or not...

I just listed my home with a flat fee lister via Owners.com. That gets me a local MLS listing, and on Realtor.com and many others.
Sadly, after I hit the send button on the last piece of paperwork for the deal, I saw the active ad, and HIS phone is on the ad, and it's a long distance number.
I''ve tried to contact him to have mine put on--how many people are going to make a long distance call to get a local phone number? Does that mean pretty much only agents are going to contact me, right? How much of a problem is that going to be?

I am listing my Tucson house on the MLS and on Realtors.com probably via Owners.com. It's close enough to me that if an agent is in the neighborhood and wants to show it, I can drive over to unlock the door.
I've been thinking of putting a lockbox on it, but how do I know if it's an agent that calls for the code, or some squatter?
I know the agencies are now sent a signal when someone accesses their boxes, and supplies the agent' s code. I'm not an agent, I don't have that ability.
How would you handle this?
thanks,

That 5Day sale was cancelled. It's now standard FSBO, standard market price. I expect to do another 5Day sale soon. I have a yard sign and it's listed on internet.
I remain hopeful!

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. However, I plan to be paid in full for it, quickly, too!
