Today's FOMC meeting. Rates remain the same.

"I do not believe that Yellen will raise rates at the FOMC meeting next Wednesday. She will likely buy more time just like Mario Draghi announced 2 years ago that he will do everything in his power to support a strong euro. "Patience" and more "Patience" is the key word. We are in midst of a currency war."

Here is one of my favorites quotes from @Jay Hinrichs.

"As an Broker/Agent you build a business that you can do for a lifetime. Show me any flippers or rehabbers that have been in the business 15 to 40 years like many RE brokers like myself included"

-Pure Awesomeness!

@johnny lujan,

You must differentiate yourself and your knowledge is key. You will also attract clients who similar or like minded as you. Looking at my client base today, many of my clients are entrepreneurs who have interests in real estate investing, economics, and financial markets which are also my interests and passions. It is not uncommon for my clients to call me to get financial advice or to get my short term and long term views of the macro economic trends in additon to the real estate services i provide for them.

You will also notice that most real estate agents are not investors themselves. If i am selling   My own sunglass brand, i better wear my own brand and believe that my sunglasses are better than maui jims and oakleys. I am a firm believer that you must own and believe in what you sell. Why would you want buy real estate investments from a commercial broker who he himself does not invest in the products that he sells?

To become a top producer you cannot try it out and be half hearted to the trade, you must be all in and committed to make this your life time trade and strive to become the best. Have a goal and Determination that you one day you will become among the best top 5% of agents and brokers.

When i used to run my small .net software business for 7 years before going into real estate full time, i would make a good income but was unfilled and always looked forward to the weekend. Today i can't wait to wake up the next morning so i can goto work.

@Paul Singh

Nice to have you here on Bigger Pockets! I am a real estate broker and an SFR investor in the Johns Creek Area, mostly in South Forsyth.

This is a great website for investors, and you will definitely learn a lot and meet some amazing people!

Since everyone seems to be posting up their wise quotes... here is mine.

"Keep your life balanced. Make sure there's always time for your body, mind, and the spirit. All work makes a dull Jack. Makes a lot of Jack, but makes a dull Jack. All play makes a poor Jack.

"It's not all about the money. It's about how you live. It's about you as a person, not about what you have."

"Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work - this is gift of God."

Ecclesiastes 5:19

Curious to see how the real estate market is performing in your area? Are you seeing inventories building up and see signs of slowness or are you seeing your market continuing to appreciate?

I think the development of "The District" is going to make a huge impact in the future real estate prices of South Forsyth. Johns Creek has hired the designers who master planned the city design of downtown Pittsburgh.

Watch out Alpharetta! "The District" is coming!

http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2015/03/09...

The mayor of Johns Creek is pitching a plan to transform 728 acres centered around Technology Park into a new downtown he calls "The District."

"My proposal to the citizens is that we're going to study this area and look to redevelop it over time as a densely urban walkable community that is live, work, play, that is every bit as world class as any other downtown of any other major city that you might see," says Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker, who spoke to Johns Creek residents about his proposal in his annual state of the city speech on March 6.
"It is ambitious," Bodker says. "It is the largest sort of redevelopment that's probably been undertaken in metro Atlanta."

The driving force behind the new master plan is that the city is largely residential: 81 percent of its tax base is residential and 19 percent is commercial. "And that's really not sustainable financially for the long term if we are going to continue to improve services and make the significant infrastructure investments that need to be made as the city's infrastructure ages, and even to catch up from the years of neglect in the years prior to us becoming a city, we need more financial resources," Bodker says. "And the way that we can get those without asking our residents to pay more is to diversify our tax digest."
