@Kristen Fennig Winning properties at North Carolina trustee sale auctions is difficult. I'm sure you're aware of the upset bid process.

@Quentin McNew I received my redemption in September. That was from a March request. Their communication wasn't good, and they were unable to commit to a time frame. However, in August, they said the redemption would take place in September. To their credit, they kept to their word on that. It was a sizeable, partial redemption.
Try to contact Jorge Newberry. He'll give you a straight estimate.

@Marco Bario AHP Servicing Fund is making redemptions but they take some time. My March 23 request for a partial redemption was paid on September 28.

Actually, Jay, the "huge "difference" isn't in their business structure but in their investor-relations departments. That was my point.

@Alan Ford I live in Mooresville, a Lake Norman community, and I see many STRs in Mooresville. I think Lake Norman encompasses at least four counties: Iredell, Mecklenberg, Catawba and Lincoln. There are many cities and towns. North Carolina counties are very small in size, a fraction of CA. county size.
I moved to the Lake Norman area five years ago from Canyon Lake. From 2011-2015 flipped about 15-16 houses in Temecula. I like Temecula a lot. I lived in SoCal for 45 years. Lake Norman is a fantastic place.

Signup for free membership in @Ian Ippolito's Private Investor Club. You'll find very thorough reviews and analysis of note funds and other alternative investments. It's by far, the best source for this type of information.

@Tim G. You're right about Lake Norman being the only area to move to from San Diego County. I lived in Leucadia for 27 years. I still have a rental in Oceanside.
There is a Lake Norman Meetup. I haven't attended it but the person who organizes it is a member of Bigger Pockets. Her name Caten Murphy.
Here's information on a prior meeting. The contact information is there

@Jason Monaco I don't know where the link can be found. I suggest that you contact customer relations at AHP, tell them you're a potential investor and ask for access. There was another webinar a few months ago that you may also want to see.
