Welcome to Augusta! Be on the look out for the REIA meetings in the coming months. Those are great ways to meet people and learn about the local real estate market

Hey Phil! Congratulation on moving to Augusta soon. It is a great place to invest in real estate. Houses are affordable and rents are on the rise!

Its hard to give advice on what areas to invest in without knowing more about your investment strategy. You should come to some of the real estate meetings when you get to town. I would be happy to introduce you to people.

@Yashank Choksi Great question. But I think you need to ask yourself the question "which would you rather own, houses or apartments?"

People obviously rent both types of properties but owning a managing an apartment can be totally different than single family houses. Some people choose to do both (I did) but others decide to stick to one or the other. Also, if you are getting started, houses are usually where most people start.

Either way, glad you are interested in real estate! Best of luck to you

April was our best leasing month so far this year and we do not see any reason why May will not be just the same. The rental market is still hot in Augusta Georgia.

Stay positive out there. I'm hoping rent collection will be better than everyone else is thinking.

In business you don't get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate. Definitely challenge it!

Didn't realize you were not in Augusta. Covid 19 has definitely changed a lot of people's plans but I think that it might create some opportunities also.

@Jennifer Long good for you! congratulations on your success. I haven't met anyone in the Augusta area that has house hacked a fourplex. You should come to the local real estate meetings. I think you will be able to meet someone there that can help you with some financing options/ideas
