Quote from @Nathan Gesner:
Real estate syndication is not a simple or inexpensive process. I seem to recall Brandon or Jay saying it took around $50,000 to get the legal documents put together.
Even after you are set up, you won't raise millions by creating a post on BP that says you have a good deal. You need to show people the numbers and back up what you're saying with real data.
Thanks for the reply Nathan.
To clarify - I was asking if anyone on BP raised funds through real estate syndication. I wanted to learn from their journey and experience.
I do have my investor presentation and information memo ready to send out.

@Ricardo Fainsilber I have a friend who owns quite a few buildings who is a foreign national. He uses a local credit union and I will check to see if they can do bundled single families.
Thank you! I found a couple options, but I appreciate the help
Hi Ricardo, can I ask which options you found? I’m in the same situation.

I have lived and invested in the US and now I am partially based in the UK.
There is a good opportunity to invest in high quality rental properties with capital appreciation potential. However, the most attractive upside is the potential currency gain due against the currently weak British pound. I have been approached by a couple of close US investors who are interested in this potential. But they do not have the required capital on their own. So I thought I would explore real estate syndication.
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

The bills isn't in the tenants name this city doesn't allow it. The bill is completely way-of-line, normal bills are $70 per month, but according to the billing for the last 6 months it would average $833 per month!
The water department don't seem to interested in resolving it or acknowledging the dispute and providing a standard response that the bills need to be paid in full before reconnection.

Based on the last 3 years water bills the average annual usage is $1,100. In this case its $5,000 for six months. So it is massively out of line.

Need some advise please.
I have a tenant moving into my rental property today. I contacted the water department to turn on supply and they informed me I have a unpaid water for a six month period. When asked how much is was they said $5,000! They refuse to turn on the water until the paid is paid in full.
My normal bill six months is usually $500. The section 8 tenant that was living there until two months ago had been living there for over 4 years and that was her normal bills. I said to the water department they must have a faulty meter and for them to check.
They advised they removed the meter a couple of months as the supply was turned off.
My question is how do I handle this as they are taking a hardline even though I am disputing the amount / usage.

@ Joe Delia @ Walter Hammond
West Price property - is going well and it;s a strong block. I haven't had too many issues filling the building - there are 5 units there.
Evanston property - I started rehabbing the unit, but it was broken into and vandalized for copper wire. This is sizeable set back in the rehab. But I'm scheduled to complete it by the fall. But had a few enquiries for rental already. Had to beef up security big time on this building. Its a 6 unit property
I did look at Avondale but was outbid on a couple of good properties. They are actually on the edge of Avondale (north of Glenwood) and at the southern fringes of North Avondale.
