@Jordan Moorhead and @Bruce Lynn, thank you for taking the time to reply and providing this info! Coincidentally, I spoke to someone from KW yesterday, and have an interview set up next week. We're going to be looking into as many options as possible so we can make an informed decision on how to proceed with the brokerage aspect of our careers, in addition to our investing. Thank you again!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
My wife and I are moving to Austin next week to pursue our real estate investments full time, and also become agents. We've passed all of our coursework and are scheduled to take our exams, and would love to hear any recommendations on brokerages to get in touch with, your experiences with any you've been a part of, what the desk fees and splits are like in the area, etc. We've got a few interviews setup already, and would be interested to hear thoughts from those in the area. Thanks so much for your time and assistance!

@Mariel Pagan thanks for checking in! I did not invest in Phillipsburg. There are certainly deals to be had there, and after looking into the area further, decided to focus elsewhere. Most of our properties are in central NJ, and next month we'll be moving to Austin to open an independent brokerage and start investing in that incredible market. Best of luck, please reach out anytime.

@Costin I. thank you very much for letting me know about this event! Unfortunately, we are not in the area yet, we have our closing date set for the end of June and will be in TX by July 1. I would love to know about any events you can recommend after that date, my wife and I will both look forward to being there.

We got our house under contract and assuming all goes well with the closing, will be moving at the end of June!
What we're looking for right now is a 3 or 4 bedroom SFR we can rent in Round Rock, that allows pets (we have one small dog.) We'll be in an AirBnb for a couple weeks while our moving truck transports our items, so we would be moving into the one term rental early July. I'm checking Zillow and such, but if anyone may know of an investor that has something available, either short or long term rental, I would love to connect with them. Thank you very much!
