@Uzi Pablo Thanks for the info. Honestly I wouldn't invest any of it until you have educated yourself on the risk/reward involved in each sector of real estate. That being said, if your looking for more of a hands off approach have you look into being part of a large deal with others running it (syndication). This will allow you to have scale and leverage while being hands off. Looking forward to hearing where your leaning and choose to invest.

@Jason Postill I agree with Ivan, action is most important. Start when your comfortable but keep in mind reaching out of your comfort zone once you get rolling will be a key to scaling and long term success.

@Kevin Zhang If you don't have a lot of deal flow you can always link up and partner with someone on a larger deal or invest through a syndication.

Post: How do you go about investing out of state?

@Michael Stanley Nino I would say you don't necessarily need a hot market. You want a market that you have easy access to and have boots on the ground their. They will be able to help you with location and suburbs and can drive the subject property prior to you going to see it. I would also suggest not rushing into something. Make sure you know how to underwrite a deal and gauge the repairs before getting something under contract. Best of luck.

@Jason C. my opinion is there is a wide variety from newbie to very seasoned investors. I own just under 400 units along with my partners. I invest out of state.
