@Paul Timmins  Thank you for all the great tips. I’ve downloaded the BiggerPockets Ultimate Beginner's Guide and will start reading through it soon. And actually, I found the podcasts before I discovered the website, so I've been obsessed with them for a couple weeks now. Attending my first REI Meetup next week, so wish me luck.

I’ve heard a similar phrase of “you don’t have to own a property to control it.” I haven’t quite wrapped my head around how this works yet, but I’m still learning.
