Hi @Nathan Miller and thanks for comment.

How about when it's one house, but 5 beds (2 baths) that 5 different people will be sharing? Cost for each guy will be ca. 916$ each month, which adds up to be 4 580$ total for a month. (before taxes)

After taxes aprox 3.5K a month.

So total value each month will exceed 3K$/month. B

Looking forward hearing from you.

Hi @Monika Haebich and thanks for your comment. :)

I'm considering purchasing a property with 5 bedrooms in the capital of Norway, Oslo, and renting it out to 5 different people, most likely students. It's very normal here in Oslo for students to share living space. In this case it's 5 bedrooms and 2 baths.

It's newly renovated and I honestly don't think it will be a problem renting it out, however I really want to weigh all options before going one route.

I know personally that i'm very much easier sold on places where it's beautifully decorated, vs places that are empty but might have better potential.

I just think many people (including myself) have a hard time imaging the potential, vs when the job is done for them. Especially it's crucial for me to get tenants quick as when I purchase it I need 5 different people, not 1 person, quick... hmm...

Hi @Kim Younkin and thanks for your answer.

I read the article you referred to and I definitely agree on what it brings up. Good pictures and being where the potential tenants are are essential to get a deal. I also see your POV and I think staging really has to be considered for each unit and how much the deal is worth.

I'm curious thought, what do you think about trying to rent out without staging and receiving no tenants, then going the staging route, and then relisting it after it's been staged? Will that ruin any momentum or have any negative effects do you think? (as it's already been unsuccessful the first try, without staging)

Thanks!

Hi!

I'm wondering what your views are when it comes to having a interior proffesional stage your apartments like it will be easier to rent out? Thoughts?

If not everytime, then what about once to get good pictures? Thoughts?

Thanks!
