Ditto on Jonathan’s advice above.  If possible, I highly recommend that you  sign on with a firm that offers ongoing support and education since you’re a new agent.  As a broker/realtor, you’re held to a higher standard than a buyer or seller who doesn’t have a license. Good luck!

Welcome @Sarah Sydney!  I purchased a few buy and holds in Raleigh a couple of years ago, and have found TREIA to be a very helpful resource for information and networking.  I'd be glad to share what I've learned if you ever would like to get together for coffee.

@Justin Melendez Hey Justin, I have a rental property in Southern Pines but have not attended the meetups yet.  Glad to see Joseph got you connected!  I'm in Southern Pines sometimes to check on our property and see family (Incidentally, my brother in law has an orthodontics practice in Raeford).  Perhaps we could get together when I'm in town if that would be easier.  Just let me know!
