Post: Looking for Investor Friendly Agents in Houston

Hi BP community - I'm currently looking for a commercial multifamily building in Houston and am looking to connect with investor friendly agents + brokers in the area. I'm looking for someone who really knows the depth of the market and the surrounding areas. Does anyone have a recommendation to a rock star or two that I can connect with? I live on the west coast so I'll be doing this from a distance to start with a planned market visit over the next few months. Please feel free to PM me any recommendations!
Happy investing,
Tom

Has anyone used E3 Solutions for new siding or any work on their properties? I see a handful of good reviews online but would like to hear experiences from other investors if they've used them before. I'm also looking for an additional bid on my property if anyone has a recommendation!
Thanks,
Tom
Post: Start an LLC or quit claim property later for favorable terms?

I'm an out of state investor about to close my first property in Omaha, NE. My lender has asked if I want to purchase the property under my name or an LLC, which will determine the loan terms. From my understanding if I purchase in my personal name, I can get a residential loan as opposed to commercial. Does anyone have advice/experience closing in their personal name and quit claiming the property into an LLC shortly after? Is it higher risk and is there any reason I wouldn't want to do this?
This is a buy and hold property and I plan on staying in it for at least 3-5 years.
Thanks,
Tom

I'm looking at multifamily properties in Omaha and plan on closing on the right one within the next 60 days. I'm an out of state investor living in California and am looking for a lender in Omaha. Can anyone recommend a lender that's great to work with in Omaha that's out of state investor friendly? I'm looking to build out a long term relationship. Appreciate your help.

@Brian Garlington I would start off with a residential OR commercial if I can get a good spread between the cap rate and loan constant while hitting my monthly cash-flow goals. I talked to @Michael Swan about a month ago and got some great knowledge from him. I'm going to DM you!

@Todd Dexheimer Really great article and great interview. Coincidentally I listened to your BP podcast interview this morning and then put two and two together after reading your article this afternoon.
In your interview, you made a great point about getting into markets out of state. You mentioned that your first step is to find a broker, get additional referrals from him/her and keep asking around until you find out who the best of the best are to build your team. That struck a cord and put some direction on my first step. Thanks for all the great information in the podcast and I look forward to listening to your personal one.
I had a great opportunity to invest in a multi-family development in Maple Grove a couple of months ago. I visited for the first time this past June and was blown away by the culture and art scene in the Twin Cities!

@Jordan Moorhead Appreciate the insight. I just invested a good chunk of change in a multi-family project being constructed in Maple Grove, MN. It was through an equity group and I couldn't pass up the projected returns. Next project I'd like to take on myself. It'd be great to connect if you're looking to partner up.
