Welcome to the group, North Texas, esp this area is a solid choice for the Long haul, and you gotta love how helpful and friendly Texans are.
Good luck on your real estate endeavors.

@Austin Bright
I’m partial to the Plano, Frisco, Mckinney area for sure.
Looking for a Duplex, good options are along 121, A friend of mind landed a good deal in Copeland recently on a Duplex.
If you are working in Ft Worth it makes a lot of sense to look there.
I’m not an expert there but I’m glad to jump on a phone call and talk about the overall DFW are as well as get you connected with an expert in Ft Worth.

@Faraz Shahbazi
Hello
I’m a local realtor and work mainly in the Plano, Mckinney, Frisco and north area.
Depending on your goals there are some good options. These are long term homes up here, the work base is very stable, great schools, and nice communities.
I don’t mind talking through what investors in this area should expect. I do warn this is not a big time cashflow area, like Memphis or KC, but you can get $ 130 - $180 per month on newer properties

Hello!
I’m a realtor in the Mckinney / Plano/ Melissa area.
I’d love to talk through the options in the area.
Melissa, Anna, and Cross Roads are areas I like to show to investors looking for that Turn key opportunity. These area are where there is value and some cashflow.

@Tyler D'Alessandro, I’ll second @Kenneth McKeown, to me the lifestyle of the city is a HUGE consideration, you have to feel the area out, each market, San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and my biased answer of DFW has a different feel.
I think it’s a hard toss up between Houston and Dallas, holding the property for a long time, my own opinion DFW area will grow the best, the reasons are very clear, I live here, buying an apartment here and really wish it so😜.
A little tongue in cheek.
Do some market research the link below by Joe Fairless is high quality.

Once you know your city and with a budget of 800k go get cashflow, and remember you’ll want to sell that building someday. Make sure it’s something someone else will want to buy, or at least can be made into something someone will want.
My 2 cents

@CJ M., Sherman has a ton of merit, also I do end up putting investors that want to stay in DFW in Mellisa, Anna, and Cross roads

@Daniel Rainmaker I’m a Dallas area Realtor, I love selling houses, and am so jealous of the affordability of the Houston. My rental is down there😜.
