@Ken P.  Loved your post! I have thought about your car scenario many times, as laid out in Rich Dad/Poor Dad. I've wondered about getting in between the lease and the pay cash model that @Jesse O. suggested.

What if you purchased a new car, maybe a cheaper one, to get the payments down to be similar to the lease payment. Keep it at least 5 years to get it paid for and if you purchase with resale in mind, the car should be worth at least half of what you paid for it. Then you trade it in on the next one and because you have $10k + down you still have a smaller payment similar to a lease. Now your not restricted on miles, you can modify if you need to, and if you really like the car keep it longer than the payoff period. In this case you could keep putting the cash flow in a separate account and combine it with the trade in. In this case you are buying, not renting, and it results in ownership!

@Dwight Crocker   Some guys/gals that are new to this business, or life seemingly, think that everything is going to be handed to them.  I love to see those who are willing to do whatever it takes, ethically of coarse, to be successful! Great Post and decision!

@Mario T.  The most successful people learn to let the No's bounce off of them. Remain focused on the Yes's and forget about the No's other than lessons learned.  A YES is right around the corner, my friend, if you keep going with everything you have!

Thanks for the support of all of you who voted and commented! Maybe I'll be an FBI agent in another life, haha.

@Devin Morgan

Don't look now, but you are in the rare position of having more votes than posts! Congratulations!!

I'd go with stainless.  There may be things that are better or easier to care for but they don't have the same marketing appeal at this point. Imagine "brand new clean steel appliances" or "brand new slate appliances". I don't want to have to explain to every buyer why what I have is actually better than, or has advantages over the standard!

No I didn't work for the FBI but I did just get a picture uploaded, so I don't look like an FBI agent anymore! (I found out that my picture is propagated into all of my previous posts so that the FBI image is completely wiped out for me!)  I finished my profile too!  I have been on BP for a while now and thought I would wait until I had a picture up to do my intro.

I'm hoping to get an award for a new member introduction and some votes on this post. (I'm also hoping to break the 50% threshold on the votes to posts ratio). If you would like to make my day, this last day of 2014, go ahead and vote for my post even if you don't think it is vote worthy. I'll return the favor and we'll both be better off for it.

I'm also here to challenge all those BPers who still look like FBI agents to at least upload a photo! For the procrastinators: it will propagate to your previous posts too and your can start out 2015 as a new man/woman! Happy New Year all you great BPers out there!

@Bill Gulley, @Vinny Gaines  I just looked up Carleton Sheets on the web and it looks like he is giving his course material away for free now! Maybe he has seen the light of BP and wants to give back? Someone should invite him to join BP!! (If he is still alive?)

@Jay Hinrichs  Absolutely correct! Hence my guarantee that Armando will not be there!  Remember James and company are going to the free event.  I don't think Armando would be caught dead at a free event even if it was in LA or Texas!!  He has to wait to get all of those up sells out of the way first!
