Contrast to a hotel, just call the front desk and they make it right.That being said, when I want a kitchen, multiple bedrooms or dog friendly place for the family, AirBNB is often a better option.

Off the top of my head, I know smoke alarms and screens are two of those (in contrast, they are not required to note the condition of blinds, etc).
