Finding off market deals
Newbie here! I live in a county where there are quite a few decent looking abandoned homes and can never get far finding the owner and trying to find value on MLS is rough! Does anyone know where I can find off market properties to purchase for rentals???

Have you use DealMachine with skip tracing in it now? Have you gone down to the courthouse to get the owner records on file and then skiptraced them? You should be able ot easily skip trace any of the plots or find the information online enough to add more to the trace.
I’ve used propstream which has been decent but not necessarily up to date. I’ll try deal machine and see how it goes. Is freedom skips good to use as well?
You'll want to get a local agent who can source off-market deals for you.
There are several skip tracing providers but oftentimes they use a database that isn't regularly updated. You'll want to make sure the provider you are using has up to date data. If you have any specific questions about skip tracing, please let me know.
How do you know Which data provider website to choose? Listsource, loopnet, foreclosure.com ?
