@Jay Hinrichs

Hey I know you are getting tons of ideas thrown at you for your website, and I know you are only 3 weeks live.

But one thing that may help a lot of people is some kind of grading scale of areas. Meaning everyone talks A -- B --- C areas, but it seems like everyone is all over the board. Above, @Account Closed is defining an A and B neighborhood for turnkey rentals that are selling in the 50s to 90's price range. And that very well maybe an A or B area in his area of Ohio. But when I hear the word A area I think of where I am in ATL that A area for a rental... is easy 250k plus. Samething with @Curt Davis above is Memphis an A area or B area or C area. I have no idea and Curt would have a way better concept than I would. But I wish in the turnkey there was some kind of like standard or something. Where to say A or B or C certain things have to apply....

I don't know. Just a crazy idea I am sure you are getting bombarded with stuff right now. So throw this on the back burner.

Lastly, @Account Closed  and @Curt Davis  I want to make my comment clear. I am NOT saying that your area is not A or B or whatever grade I do not know what grade it is. So I am not trying to judge your area it would just be nice if there was a accurate playing field for everyone.

Hello Bigger Pockets newest member!

I just wanted to take a moment and say hello as I also am an Atlanta-area investor. I live on the north-end of Atlanta but do most of my investing inside the city-perimeter. There are a couple good REIA's here in Atlanta that I would recommend you consider joining if you are not already a member. There are also some really good Atlanta-area investors on Bigger Pockets.

Here are a few tips for Bigger Pockets so you can get the most out of it:

Be sure to set up “keywords" for whatever type of investing you’re interested in with "Atlanta” obviously being the primary keyword.

Secondly, I try to read at least a blog per day, as well as listen to one podcast per week.

Lastly, try to get involved in the Bigger Pockets community. Don't be timid - share advice and ask questions!

Good luck. I hope to see you around Bigger Pockets as well as in the Atlanta-area market. I’m here if you have any questions!

Professional regards -

Andrew

@Mike O'Connor

My Brother in Law does exactly what you are referring to in Seattle WA. I can check with him, but I do believe he makes right around the 90k mark. Now he does have over 10 years of experience and managing 1,000's of units.

Now he does live in Seattle so cost of living is a little more expensive so you could keep that in mind.

If you have any other questions please let me know and I can reach out to him an see what is thoughts are.

@Joseph Harris

Hello "BP Newbie" and welcome to Bigger Pockets.

In the meantime here are 7 tips to help you grow your business using BP:

1. New to BP?

2. Develop your own business strategy. -- Don’t just be a “jack-of-all-trades"

3. Grow your business by developing your business plan. - Remember there is a difference between goals and a plan.

4. Locate and attend several different local REIAs as they’re great opportunities to network and meet wholesalers, lenders, and contractors.

5. Stay away from the “guru” sales-pitch events - they rarely increase your investment knowledge, they merely empty your wallet!

6. Spend 30 minutes a day on Bigger Pockets by connecting with “colleagues,” perusing blogs and videos, and engaging with others on the forums:

7. Set yourself up to receive free alerts to be notified of subjects that interest you:

@Bryan C.

Have you ever thought about turnkey flipping?

Where someone here finds and locates the house for you. Then you buy it and own it, they manage the rehab, then sell it off to a retail buyer for a fee?

@Account Closed

I think that a business card is very important IF it is done the right way. But to be fair I think that mobile phones has really changed the seen for business cards.

Now don't get me wrong I still think cards are very important.

Here is a copy of my card. I really try to focus on making my card different and to really stand out in a pocket of cards. I like showing myself on the card to let them know I am human and real. Then give my contact info on the back.

Just my opinion though,

Here is my card....
