Hi @Shannon Smiley-Landry. I refer many of my clients to Joe Molero at TWFG insurance services. His number is 504-272-2272. He's very knowledgeable about all kinds of insurance and is a broker that can quote multiple companies for all insurance lines. He can at least let you know if you are over insuring or not. http://www.twfg-gulfsouth.com/home.html

Hi @Scott Gieseler Welcome to BP. If you are looking to network and meet likeminded people, then you should check out NOREIA. See here - http://neworleansreia.com/. You can attend your first meeting for free, then join if you like. It's $75 to join and then $10 per month. I've met tons of great contacts there. I'm an investor savvy Realtor who works with and for several local investors, helping them to buy and sell properties. If I can be of help to you, feel free to reach out anytime.

Hi @Jordan Decuir

I have several clients that have done this. Some have done so with single family properties and some with multi family properties, and some have even done with condos. I'd be happy to discuss further with you and help you find a property if you decide to move forward with the idea. Let me know what you think...

Try David Birdsong at Gulf South Title in Metairie, LA. He's an excellent real estate attorney and very investor friendly. He's also the president of NOREIA.

Hi @James Halk I can help you out with some info if you like. I'm a local Realtor here in New Orleans and I work with several local real estate investors that do everything from flips and rehabs to high end rentals and Section 8 rentals. If you have a 3/2.5 in Lakeview to rent you can definitely get more than $1000 a month for it. Lakeview prices are at a premium right now and rent prices in the Greater New Orleans area in general have more than doubled as a percentage of income, from 14% to 34% now. We have a very high demand for rentals right now and not enough supply, and the same is true for all real estate in general. We are in a true sellers market and many homeowners are finding it advantageous to capitalize on this hot market and sell their homes for a premium. Let me know if I can be of help...
