@Tom Yung and @Peter Lohmann It is heartwarming and encouraging to see how BP members come to the aid of one of us in distress. @Ram Srinivasan Best of luck with the able help of the BP family!

@Michael T. I would also like to learn about equity stripping techniques as it is the first time I've heard of it.

Thanks

Very nice @Justin E.

Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your first deal!

@Brie Schmidt This is the best news I've seen here for some time. Congratulations on your accomplishment, on your being an inspiration to us all and on lighting this post on fire. Look at all the activity you've generated and I’m sure many have not yet seen or had time to chime in. This is excellent news! Thank you for sharing it with the community.

@Jeffrey Lester

I commend your forward thinking and resolve to be independent. It is unfortunate that the market you’re looking in has such a high entry level, but I want to encourage you to not give up. If you want to get this strategy going in a year…you have a year to prepare and you’re in a great place here to get guidance and inspiration.

I know owning is your goal, but perhaps you could consider starting off by offering your services to landlords. Perhaps you can explain your goals and inspire someone to take a chance on you. Let you live in their place for free or at very little charge in exchange for “supervising” the other tenants and in essence taking care of the property. My thought on this is…People hire total strangers from out of state or abroad to house sit during their vacation time because they want their property taken care of. You will get a lot of NOs but all you need is one Yes to start on your road of living for free. Do a good job and you will buy yourself the time needed to save up your down payment there or wherever you go after college. Your idea is good! Work on making it happen.

I wish you much success,

Pyrrha
