If a property foreclosed in December according to public records, how could you find out who the bank is? How soon could that property become available through the bank or auction? Property in question is in Westminster MD.
Thanks

A little over a year on the site and on my third flip! Analysis paralysis the past few years before that. Thanks BP! Thank you to all the contributors on the site.

You should attend REI meet ups in north jersey to get a feel for the market and make some contacts with wholesalers and lenders. Having a decent amount of cash to get in should make it easier.
I have heard and know of several people who cash flow in Paterson. You have to know the area, it can change from street to street and there are areas you should stay away from. I'm sure you know that better than me. I haven't lived there in over 20 + years.
I have heard that 203k loans are difficult to get but can be beneficial because they cover your rehab cost.
Be cautions when you become a landlord, you need to know Passaic county and NJ landlord and tenant laws. I am getting ready to purchase a buy and hold in MD and have been reading and trying to ask questions about the process.
Good luck to you!

Prices seem too high! Get some more estimates. In Maryland that size roof would be 9-11k, 5-7k to paint exterior of home.

Welcome to BP! I also suggest Brandon Hall as other have.
I attended last month's REI in Columbia. It was pretty informative but very crowded and hope they can figure that part out this month. It was my first one I attended there and hope to make it out next month.
Thanks

Thank you all for the feedback and direction. My realtor and I are mapping our next step. Hopefully we can resolve this before closing!
