@Steve Vaughan when equity is withdrawn it's considered a cash out refinance. When proceeds are used solely to satisfy an existing mortgage it's a Rate and Term. Hopefully this helps you moving forward.

@Michael Glist in my experience cross collateralization can hem you up a bit when it comes time to release property from the note. Amortization could be <30yrs and potential prepayment penalty.
We helped a seller to refi several properties out of this structure all so just one could be sold. Just felt like the bank had too much leverage.
