Unfortunately, with short sales its all a waiting game. Depending on the type of bank(big box or small credit union) it can drag on for a great deal of time. I know for myself, a short sale that I purchased took 9 months from the time the offer was submitted. It was sure worth the wait though.

Its usally best to wait 6 months so they can appraise the house for what its worth and not your purchase price.
