@Jacob A. - this looks really good. I'm really interested to see how everything goes from here on out. Please keep us posted!

@ john rooster Only because he doesn't give any information about himself, and the link from the ad goes to a form which requires my name, address, and phone number.

I probably wouldn't be so hesitant if it wasn't for having dealt with so many scammers from that site already.

Although, you do have a good point....

Thanks for all your responses! I'm going to err on the side of caution and avoid chasing the rainbow on this one. I think it's probably more practical just to contact people who have a face and a name listed.

Good points from all of you!

Thanks again!

Alright, so this is probably the best place to ask this question. From you seasoned investors out there, I'd like to know your opinions.

If this is real, it seems to be an investor in need of wholesalers, but I'd like to know what you think:

@Ian M. - thanks Ian- lots of information to digest between all of these posts, and as you say, there isn't necessarily one "right" way to look at finances- it has to do with each person's beliefs regarding money, risk tolerance, and overall financial education as well.

It's also good to hear when things aren't going so well, because even though it's a bummer, it's part of any type of investing, and I think failures are great teaching tools, plus it keeps us humble and constantly seeking knowledge on our investing journey.

Thanks for your feedback!

@Trevor Lohman - I'm apt to agree with you on your cautious approach- as I'm hesitant to dive into something until I feel financially prepared. As you say, it might be somewhat foolish to add on extra debt right now.

In terms of nursing, I was paid 57k/year in Chicago, but didn't want to get stuck in psychiatric nursing. The hard part was trying to find a medical nursing job, and the wages in North Carolina are very low. However, once I get a few years of experience, it will open the doors to a larger income.

You are one of a few who've mentioned Dave Ramsey in this discussion, and one of my financially-savvy friends follows him as well. Might have to check this guy out.

Thanks for your input!

@Christopher Leon - I like what you said about controlling the money, rather than being controlled by it. There is certainly few things more stressful than being "broke" and working a job you don't like just to make ends meet. Yes, I know this will not be easy, but I don't think anything worthwhile is.

I'm already feeling far more confident/focused/calm, just from planning/budgeting more in depth than ever before. Now I need to start putting the pieces together and networking, as you suggested. I've emailed some people on here so far, but will try other avenues when I get an hour or two of free time.

Thanks for your input!

@Shariyf Grevious - thanks for the advice. Yes, I'm already planning a way to potentially cut my living costs down to $300/month, and am also looking into overtime, and a 2nd job.

I'll keep in mind the people you mentioned- thanks again!
