Hi Jay. I host a RE meet up and attend a few others in Houston. My next event is going to be Wednesday August 18th at Kirby Ice House from 6-8 pm

Hi everyone. I am hosting a meet up on Weds, August 18th at Kirby Ice House. The focus is going to be networking, especially for househackers or rookie investors, but all are welcome to attend. We did this last month and it was fun and informative. Come out and talk to some fellow investors!

@Dareen Allie I’d recommend starting with a househack if possible. My wife and I bought a large 4 bedroom/3.5 bath house and have been renting out the 3 bedrooms on Airbnb. Typically it covers our entire mortgage payment and sometimes extra cash on top of that. Doing something like that could help you get started with investing and save money at the same time. Plus you may only need a small down payment (3-5%). If you don’t want to share your space with others you could look for a duplex/triplex/fourplex instead.

I am a real estate agent/ Househacker in Houston and I think there are a lot of great opportunities here. I would recommend connecting with agents/ investors in the area to gather more information. I'd be happy to connect to chat about my experience owning RE in Houston.

Hi Tanner. I'm in Houston, and I've been doing a househack by airbnbing out the spare rooms in my house. We get a lot of longer term guests (a few weeks to a month), a lot of people who are in town for work. You might get similar guests depending on where you are in San Antonio.
