If you have multiple parties involved as owners, you definitely need an entity. Equally important, the entity needs a carefully drafted Operating Agreement (or equivalent, depending on the type of entity). Good luck.

We always use a CPA for preparation and filing of tax returns. Depending on your level of activity during the year, $1200 is about right.
