All of those city liens are basically irrelevant because if anybody ever buys it from you they can get them all wiped away with some simple paperwork from city hall.

The bigger issue is that nobody is going to buy this property from you. They basically give property away in this area and you might be able to donate it to Habitat for Humanity and use it as a tax write-off on your taxes.

I would probably recommend the riverside or Murray Hill area, avondale, san marco.

If I was going to house hack with a small multi family these would be the only areas that I would consider... Anything else and you are going to be in a war zone or a "soon to be" war zone
