I had problems with them last month. Not all pics uploaded. Add wouldn't show. Difficulty listing, deleting, relisting.

It's pretty obvious he's not responsible. If he has done any repairs/improvements consider it a wash and get rid of him. He will only cause more problems.

Your quotes sound high. Get at lease 2 more. The bigger HVAC co. will be higher. I like to check the smaller independent guys. They are a lot less expensive. A couple years ago I replaced a furnace and ADDED AC for $5000. The bigger co. wanted $7500.

You need to talk to a lawyer in your area. I wouldn't listen to any one else.

The longer he is there the more damage he will cause.

My local power co. will pick up old running fridges and give you $50. Check yours.

Maybe you should press charges for harassment???

Yes. Just about anything can be used for cold air return as long as it won't get sucked into the blower like thin plastic like plastic bags and such.

I run into the same thing. The ins. co. will either insure in for what I paid for it, which is below market value or it's replacement cost which is unrealistic. I wanted to insure for someplace in between. Nope. Even though they get to set the premium. Typical Ins. Co. BS.
