This meeting is Open To All ~ You don't have to be a member to attend!

Don't think you can build affordable housing in NWA? There is a group of investors, non-profits, builder/developers and community leaders who have done just that - and gotten it approved!

It's a small parcel - around 13 acres and has incorporated several multi-use features. Designed to emphasize green space, water features and community gardens, it is one example of what we may all be building in the future.

Project managers will present discuss how it happened, including:

  • Overview of the plan
  • How the joint venture came together
  • Ownership considerations
  • Determining the mix: multi-family, commercial, green space
  • Permit process
  • Timeline for completion

Jim Petty is President and CEO of Strategic Realty Companies, a group of businesses dedicated to developing and underwriting housing projects throughout AR and OK. Jim has worn many hats: a CPA still licensed in AR, former owner of a construction company and a member of the Van Buren City Council.

Join us and see what can be done with 13 acres in NWA. Learn how one builder/developer put together a community housing project
geared to the "Affordable" market. Take a look at this new model of community development and pick the brain of the man who
made it happen.

House Hacking is when you buy a multi-family property, live in one unit and rent out the others. It's a strategy used by many of our most successful investors to kick-start their rei careers.

AR Development Finance Authority (ADFA) has put together a bundle of programs designed to help first-time and low to moderate income buyers make home ownership more affordable.

Whether you're selling a rehabbed property or leasing rentals, showings today have gone digital and moved online. You've probably seen some pretty creative presentations - and some that are just embarrassing!

We're showcasing a new tool to help you put together a professional presentation you can be proud of. It's a 360-degree camera that is easy to use, takes great pictures and will even create a 3-D floor plan. We'll:

  • Demo the camera
  • Show pictures of a real property
  • Explain cost and where to find the camera
  • Discuss pros and cons
  • Explore benefits for investors

Jared Hanson is a mechanical engineer with a creative mind, a passion for detail and wide-ranging interests. He and his wife, Tiffany, are new investors and active members. Always looking for ways to streamline the investing process, he'll be bringing us new and innovative ways to save time and $$.

Fayetteville has a little different take on building, codes and development. Some find the codes more stringent, some appreciate the longer term vision for design and development. Either way, it's good to know what the Planning Commission and City Council are planning - and why.

Sloan Scroggins severed for several years on the Fayetteville Planning Commission and last year won his seat on the City Council. He has a strong construction background coming from a family of contractors. Sloan teaches full time at UA and in his spare time is general contracting his own $150K rehab project! He's my go-to guy for all things building related and will talk with us about:

  • Current and future developments in Fayetteville
  • How the $250M bond money will affect developors
  • Big vs small builders - entirely different worlds
  • Cost efficient designs
  • Changes in the wind for builders

Join us for a lively discussion on building in Fayetteville, what's new in urban design and changes in the wind. Network with other investors/builders and have a great dinner at Mimi's. See ya on Thursday.

Lots of changes in Springdale right now; new construction, revitalizing downtown, upgraded trails and plans for more!

Some of those plans will affect your investment strategy either with changing regulations or new opportunities. One way or the other, you'll want to know who's contributing, where the growth is happening and what's next for this dynamic community.

Kevin Parsley is Chairman of the Springdale Planning Commission. He's been instrumental in establishing the Ballpark district, bringing NWA Children's Hospital to the community, developing the Downtown District and making the Master Trail Plan happen. Kevin is a tech guy and works for Acosta providing sales and marketing info for top retailers.

Roy Covert has served on the Springdale Planning Commission for nine years and feels honored to be part of city government. During the day, he is Director of Realty Operations for Store Planning & Construction at Walmart and brings a wealth of knowledge about real estate both big and small.

Tonight, our two Commissioners with discuss:

  • Springdale area growth map
  • What they know about areas around Springdale
  • How to present my project to the Planning Commission
  • 5-10 year Vision for Springdale

Join us tonight and meet the Planning Commissioners who are crafting the growth and expansion in Springdale. They may not know everything you ask, but they'll share what the plans are and to what extent they've been realized.

Click to RSVP.

Network with other investors and have a
great dinner while you're at it.
See you at Mimi's on Thursday.
