This show was loaded with so much good conversation and perspective.  This is a must listen for all aspiring and current women investors.  Amy is so inspiring and well spoken.  Thanks for a great interview with an awesome female investor!  David Greene was also a fantastic co-host.    It felt like they have been doing the podcast together for years!  Loved it!

Hey @Felipe Ocampo, I think starting out with turnkeys is a good option when you are pressed for time and just getting started out.  I have purchased 4 in the last couple years and I feel like it's a good way to learn the ropes when you strapped for time.   I work as a nurse, have two small kids, and I'm working on getting my real estate license so time is limited right now.  There are some good companies out there that offer good returns.  For me 8-9% cocroi (after vacancy, repairs, cap ex, management) is good enough considering that I'm doing very little to no work in the process.  It feels like real estate investing with training wheels.  The most important thing is choosing the right turn key providers.  Eventually I plan on getting more involved in my local market, but for now, I'm happy with how my turnkeys are working out.

Such a useful and educational podcast.   I'm so glad that people like Amanda Han and Brandon Hall are out there to assist with the confusing and convoluted tax codes and loopholes.  Now I need to listen about 3 more times to get a good grasp on all the information discussed...

Hi! I was (and still am) a Labor and Delivery nurse. Love love love my job and don't really plan on ever quitting. I just hope that REI helps me retire at a younger age and gives me the opportunity to work less as I get older.

Hey @Joshua Johnson, your subject definitely caught my attention, lol!  It's extremely overwhelming when you are starting out and trying to find your first deal.  I just wanted to share one of my favorite quotes by Brandon Turner:

“So often people think the key to success is superb intelligence, unnatural luck, excessive time to devote to big tasks, or knowing the right people at the right time. In reality, success is the reward given to those who take small steps daily toward their goal.”

I live by the rule of taking small steps every day to acheive my goals and trying really really hard not be let fear get the best of me.

Good luck to you!

Welcome @Meridith Peratikos!  For newbie investors I'd go pro just to have access to all the awesome calculators.  When you are learning to run the numbers the calculators really come in handy.  And just FYI, I heard the prices for the pro account are going up next month.  Right now you can lock in the rate of $232.  I think next month it will be over $300.

Hey @Kerilyn Paris.  I'm a bit late to the party, but welcome to BP!  You certainly found the right place.  It's awesome to see other female investors around.  I've been on BP for a year and have bought three OOS buy and hold rentals.  My long term plan is to eventually invest in the sacramento area.  What's your strategy going to be to find deals?  Use wholesalers, Direct mail marketing, auctions?  Excited to hear how everything goes.  Take care!

Hey @Victoria C.!  Glad you joined BP!  That's awesome that you were able to house-hack your first property.  I wished I had known about that when my husband and I were first starting out.  It's such a cool way to get started.  Sounds like you have a great deal of background knowledge on the contraction end.  That should serve you well!  Are you planning on flipping and buying other buy and hold properties in the Sacramento area?  Maybe I'll see you at a local meet-up.  @Al Williamson is having one on July 13th at Burgers and Brew in Sac.  Wish I could go, but I work every Thursday night at the hospital.  Take care!
