The rumors are true! BiggerPockets will be hosting our second annual real estate conference in the Big Easy (that would be New Orleans for those of you opening Google). Registration opens on July 6th!

Hello everyone, I am based in the Ft. Hood area seeking to join any meet up groups. 

@Kenton LeVay, renting by the room actually is a great way to scale if you select a market to support it. I have been in the Student Housing industry for many years within the College Station and Austin markets. You may want to research property management companies that specialize in student housing. The most important thing is to have the full unit pre-leased with all individual leases starting and ending at the same time. If you need anything else, I am more than willing to help.

That is a great question. At this time, it appears that the cost for attending the conference has not been published. I believe the price will be announced at the start of the registration period. 

@Nathan Gesner , Great information. I recently was approved for a NFCU Cash Rewards credit card. The card provides 1.5% cash back on all purchases. Navy Federal Credit Union is very generous with credit limits!
