@Carlos Zapata, I know a couple family friends that do some rehabbing, learning from them will be beneficial. Thanks!

I'm interested in buying a small apartment complex (5-15 units) for the cash flow. To save up the money from my day job would take a while before I can make a down payment on investment that size.
I'm juggling the idea around of getting my real estate license and flipping some houses to grow my capital to a point where I can put a down payment on a small apartment complex.
Would anyone suggest against this? or is this a good strategy?
Thanks in advance!

Hello Travis. I too I'm new and looking to go the same route as you. I suggest you check out the BRRRR method to grow your portfolio. That seems to be a solid strategy to start with.
Best of luck with your investing!

@Filipe Pereira I did not. I went to school at ECSU and I would be cautious went renting out there because I know what can happen to the units if occupied but lovely college individuals.

As a new real estate investor without any deals under my belt. I wanted to take some time and educate myself on real estate investing; specifically rental properties. My goal is to have a great cash flowing rental portfolio.
Should I only focus on learning about rental properties?
Or should I broaden my knowledge and take the time to learn other investment strategies? ie. Wholesaling, flipping, etc
Thanks
Mark
