Post: Question about a Raised Walkway (Tripping hazard?)

Hi all,

I have a walkway to my house that has been raised due to tree roots growing underneath it. I am getting someone to chop off the tree real soon, but I wonder about the walkway itself. When I rent out the house to a tenant, could this be considered a tripping hazard and

come back to haunt me later or am I overthinking it? The slab in the picture below is raised about 2" on the highest side.

Post: What is the right LLC structure involving investors?

Good afternoon!

I am trying to find the options to set up an entity to participate within another entity (LLC) in a construction deal.

An associate of mine is putting together a construction project for single-family homes and I am coming in as a partner/investor. The whole partnership will be set up under an LLC (let's call this Big Boys LLC). As part of me coming in, I've had to raise a minimum amount of capital coming from various smaller investors including myself. I am thinking of setting up my own LLC (let's call this one Little Guys LLC) to house all the investors and capital that I'm bringing in, then having Big Boys LLC take Little Guys LLC as a partner instead of taking just myself with everybody else's capital. Is this a good way to structure the deal from my end or are there better ways to structure this? I am trying to achieve security for my investors and associate them with the project as well.

One thing to note is that Big Boys LLC does not want to take small sums of money nor many investors, hence why I am thinking of grouping us all separately in Little Guys LLC instead of having them join the Big Boys LLC. Also, for what it's worth, this is a profit/loss share project and is based in Texas.

Hi all,

After much lurking on real estate material, I am joining the world of real estate investing and very excited to meet you all.

Houston has been my home for 10+ years which is the longest I've lived anywhere else, obviously because Houston has given me all that I need. Great food, wonderful work experiences, and a very interesting climate.

I am joining BP to further my journey in Real Estate and connect faster with the right people. I am interested in learning and partnering on projects. Anywhere from single/multi-family projects (fix/flip, BRRRR, and new construction) from an investor, rehabber/constructor, and manager perspective.

I very much look forward to meeting other entrepreneurs, investors, workers, legends, and people that make up this fascinating real estate machine.

Cheers,
Mauricio

Hey @Vince Armstrong I'm curious to know if you ended up joining PIN and if so what your experience was. I'm looking at doing one of their business tours.

@Joe S. Thanks for the info. If by chance you have the titles of those threads that would be helpful to search for them.

Being an automation person this post caught my eye. Can we connect? I would love to hear about what you did here!
