Welcome to BiggerPockets, @Brahin Wright and @Account Closed, I have spent a LOT of time in Lake Beulah... What a gorgeous part of the world. And probably a bit too much time in the ETBT... when I was younger...)

Welcome to BiggerPockets, @Parker Detweiler. What a small world, I have a friend in Bonita Springs! Lovely town.
Have you set up your keyword alerts yet? Setting at least one up for your local area is a great way to keep up on conversations about your town and start to network with local investors.

Let's tag @Mark Ferguson so he knows we are recommending him. I second the part about "he is very knowledgeable."
Forbes just came out with a list of 7 investing podcasts you should be listening to. BiggerPockets is on that list, along with Stacking Benjamins, which was another I would recommend.
Mad FIentist has a Podcast with 13 shows already. He has interviewed some pretty big names in the personal finance world, Mr. Money Mustache, Jim Collins (who has an awesome stock series that I believe is being turned into a book), Go Curry Cracker, JD Roth... The Jim Collins podcast is worth a listen just to hear their voices. They are both ultra deep baritones. It's like listening to Barry White interview James Earl Jones.

Welcome to BiggerPockets, @Corrina Amarillas. Every state has different licensing rules. I'm licensed in CO, and depending on your past, you may be able to become licensed. Some things do automatically disqualify you from getting licensed. Check with your local licensing board.
You asked how you get started? Read everything you can get your eyeballs on. This web site is an awesome place to start. We have a top-rated Podcast, which is perfect for listening to while driving or working on your house. Our Blog covers just about any real-estate related topic you can think of. And our Forums, which you have already found, will cover anything those other two don't. You could literally spend weeks in this site and not read everything, listen to everything or learn everything.
Start with what interests you most. Flipping, wholesaling, buy-and-holds, notes. We've literally got it all. Good luck!

Hi @Daniel Dadzie.
Our company is very sensitive to spam and advertisements. When certain actions are taken by a member, the system will automatically block them from taking that same action again.
One of the things that makes us so great is that we have extremely strict rules about advertising. We don't allow it anywhere on our site except the Marketplace. This includes offering properties for sale, asking if anyone has a property for sale, and soliciting funding of any kind. If we have a question about the post, we err on the side of caution and remove it.
I will message you some more details. Thanks!

Welcome to BiggerPockets, @RJ Peralta.
Congratulations on the two rentals. One thing to keep in the back of your mind, the closing documents will change on October 3rd. This is a massive change, and one of the biggest things is that there will be absolute timelines that cannot be altered in normal circumstances, so closings may be delayed, especially during the very first closings after October 3. Try your hardest to get your deals sealed before then.
You said you have been on BP for a while, so you've probably found the Podcast and the Blog. Have you set up your keyword alerts? Keep up with topics that matter to you by setting specific keyword alerts. Every time someone talks about that word in the forums, you get notified. Reserve at least one for your local area so you can stay on top of conversations about where you live or invest.

@Bill Gulley, that is for a specific search. You can always get back to the list of everything. But if you are only, at this moment, searching for SFR, then you filter out everything else to only see what you are looking for. Does that make sense?

Welcome to BiggerPockets, @Jason Miller.
Be sure to set up at least one keyword search for your local town so you can keep up with any conversations about what's going on in your area.
