It’s my favorite meeting of the year and you are invited.

Every December the Pittsburgh REIA club does something special and this year will be no different.

Attention all bakers!!!!

As always, guests are invited to bake. Yes, that was the correct word, “bake”. You are not in any way obligated, but this is the meeting where we invite our fellow investors to show off their baking skills and bring in cookies, brownies, cakes, whatever glorious confections to add to the merriment. Personally, I will be baking cookies, they may arrive in a plastic container that looks suspiciously like a giant eagle grocery store container, but I will swear up and down that I actually baked, lol.

On top of all of the food, you can expect to have a good time, while you learn more about how we make money investing in real estate.

This year, we are adapting the Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol" as our meeting theme, but with a twist. We have a series of REIA members who are going to share their past, present, and future with you. You will hear from newer investors as well as old timers. You will hear a variety of pathways to success. You will hear normal Pittsburghers tell you how they went from paycheck slavery to financial freedom. Once you see how everyday people broke free, you will have no choice but to rejoice.

See you soon.

Tuesday December 17th,

Doors open at 6 PM for networking, and the festivities run from 7-9 pm

Where - 3579 Masonic Way, Pittsburgh PA 15237 (Ross Township)

Guests are always welcome, bring the whole family !!

It is not a very popular grant, mostly because of the math you have already figured out.

A couple of things here. First off, you don't need an attorney to handle an eviction. The process is pretty simple. Secondly, if they owe you rent money, most leases allow you to liquidate the security deposit to take care of back rent. If your lease doesn't say that, you need to change your lease.

NOPE that is not it. It is not stocked by either home depot or lowes, I have already checked both.

@Steve Ipock it is the sticky tile but what I have is not one of the ones that Lowes or Home Depot carry.

I have to do a turnover on a rental and I literally need 3 squares of tile that need to be replaced but I cant find tiles that match what I have.

What I have is a standard 12X12 linoleum floor.  The pattern is an older parquet faux wood pattern. The tenants screwed up 3 squares.  I can either replace them or the entire kitchen and living room floor.

I have tried Home Depot and Lowes looking for a match.  Any suggestions?

@dave krulac is right.  The reason that property management mostly sucks in PA is that is it difficult to legally become a property manager.  You can either work for a broker for 3 years in order to qualify to get your own prop manage license; or like the majority of "property managers" in PA, you operate illegally.   The legal loophole is that someone with an ownership stake, as little as 1% can manage a property as an owner.  Back to your specific problem. It might not be a great idea to have a handyman represent you in an eviction.   The skill set for handyman doesn't generally translate to the eviction process.  There are property managers who will charge you an a-la-carte price for the specific services that they provide. So it is possible to hire a prop manager to just handle evictions.
