Has anyone used PrimeLending for a flip (rehab)? They have a branch very close to me, and I was wondering if I should give them a shot... or stay far far away?

Why did it take you ten years to do your first property?

Wow, amazing job! Congrats! Good luck on the sale.

My dad and I went for the three days at $197 bucks. It really got us stoked about finally getting serious about real estate investing, something we had dreamed about for many years. The upsells were obviously ridiculous. So on the way home on day three, I googled "Fortune Builders scam", and one of the top results was a thread from Bigger Pockets. Best google search ever. Joined BP and havent looked back.

I'm in the same boat. Just looking to get my feet wet somehow but without a real estate license no one is very willing to work with you.

Welcome to bigger pockets! I agree, I was a little taken aback when first asking around with local developers looking for any little scrap to gain experience. All I heard was "until you get your real estate license, don't even bother talking to me". I was up for any sort of job shadow/internship/loitering I could get my hands on. Heck, I don't even think Joshua Dorkin has his real estate license... You've come to the right place to advance your investing career. The advice and opportunities are endless!

@Rick H. . Mad? No way I'm here for the knowledge.

How does a beginner get any sort of credibility or experience? Just going to do deals is easier said than done for a beginner with no experience or history at all. All of my inquiries on properties, getting a private investor, finding an investment minded agent have yielded nothing but a few giggles.

I figured if I had maybe a business card, a free website or a business name, something to show that I am serious about this business. As opposed to just showing up, unorganized with no real plan or strategy saying "hey help me out Im really great, I promise." I'd look like some bum that just rolled out of a fortune builder course waiting for everything to be handed to me.

I think Navy Blue shutters on a creme colored house would look pretty good
