Have you ever wondered what *really* goes into "developing land"?
Whether you have property you're wondering what to do with, are thinking about buying land with the intention of developing it, or just want to understand the process, this will be a great opportunity to expand your knowledge base.
Come learn everything you never knew you never knew about development from industry veteran Randy Mongold. His company, San Gabriel Project Management is based here in Georgetown and has managed projects in the greater Austin area for over 15 years. If you've ever driven past Austin Avenue Medical Plaza, the Premier Athletic Complex in Leander or Crestview Baptist church these are all examples of their projects. See their website for others http://sgmanage.com/
Randy is going to share with us an overview of the process of real estate development and be available to answer any questions, hypothetical or for your particular circumstance.
There will also be time for networking and to present any deals you have and ask for feedback. We'd love to hear what you're working on!
RSVP here or find us on MeetUp.

SPEAKER UPDATE: Our September speaker has had to postpone, so instead, we'll be hearing from Randy Mongold about what goes into real estate development. I'll be making a new event so no one gets confused. Hope you'll still join us!

Hello Fort Lauderdale!
I have a client who recently moved to the Austin, TX area and still needs to sell his properties in Ft. Lauderdale. He is unimpressed with the agent they are listed with and I'd love to give him a stellar referral from you, the experts in the area. Can you recommend any rock star residential agents in the area that I can pass along to him?
Thanks

This month Melissa Jones will be sharing her experiences finding, funding, and executing on multifamily syndication opportunities. In particular, she'll discuss her current project, The Rail, right here in Georgetown.
If you're not investing in multifamily yet, there is still PLENTY for you to learn from her talk. The cost-saving and revenue increasing approaches can be applied to any scale investment property, as well as strategies for raising funds. Maybe you want to invest in real estate and have more money than time? Come find out what her next deal will be!
There will also be time for networking and to present any deals you have and ask for feedback. We'd love to hear what you're working on!

Welcome @Kyle Westbrook! What a great background to have when getting into investing. Not having to learn the landlording aspect removes a huge area of insecurity when taking the jump, or offers a significant value in a partnership situation.
BP is a fantastic repository of free knowledge and insight. Almost everyone contributing here wants to share experiences and help other investors out.
I'd love to meet up sometime and hear your experiences in property management.

I use it as an opportunity to start a dialogue. Clearly they're reaching out to you for a reason. I just ask them why! Politely, of course.
@DeWitt Gibson makes an excellent point; it depends on what you're using the networks for. I certainly have different approaches for different social media and online communities.
