The positive is that with that type of person, that could make for the best of business partners and makes working/running a business easier than doing it solo and could have you cashing out big. The cons are that it could be that he is blowing smoke (from what it seems i doubt that) and could be piggybacking off of you as far as RE deals and drag you down. Its best to always expect the best out of the partnership but expect the worst of the situation.

Its not pointless to partner up from different places, everything holds an opportunity, its all about how you work that chance to you and the wholesalers favor. How about making a partnership agreement between you and the wholesaler.
