@Zachary Schneider, like @Dan Schnurbusch, I fall into the Austrian vein as well.  My favorite econ books and resources can be found at Mises.org and FEE.org.  Specifically "Economics in One Lesson".  They have many of their resources for free online.  If you like what you read/hear, you should listen to Mises University lectures this summer.  They rock!

@Santiago Mejia -  Have you thought about contacting current MF owners to see if they need a property manager onsite?  

@Dominique Jones. I completely agree with @Alex Craig  and would also suggest that you contact friends and family in Memphis and tell them what you are wanting to do.  Wholesaling and birddogging is a great way to get started especially if you already have local contacts.  And just because Nashville is hot right now does not mean there are not good deals to be found!
