@Account Closed - I've had the police called on me by neighbors while I was at a home.  Never pleasant but I'm thankful that people keep an eye on what is going on - especially in Memphis!  And that people take action instead of just shutting their blinds and saying it's not my business.

I was emailing with a REI marketing company today when my wife and biz partner (@Elizabeth Wilson) threw out the not practical but crazy idea of "live bandit signs" where we hire beautiful and buff people to body paint with our "we buy houses" logo and have them walk around busy intersections in Memphis.

Obviously we aren't going to do this, but it did get me thinking about other ways we could market that takes current ideas and tweak them in unusual ways.   

Anything that you have thought about doing for marketing but for whatever reason is impractical for you?

@Jorge De Jesus - I'd suggest contacting the AOPA  (https://www.aopa.org/about/contact-aopa)  Not sure who there could help but they are a great resource for private pilots.

@Menooa Zohrabian - Congrats on starting your REI journey!

Two things that we often tell investors is look for the deal regardless of location (but for OOS include travel costs, etc).  But also consider the legal limitations/costs in each market.  For example, one reason that we work in Memphis is because of the laws respect the private property rights of landlords.   We don't have the appreciate that you all have in California but we like the cash flow here.  Just don't buy cheaply; stay in the 800+ rent range.

Also we will be traveling to LA (Sherman Oaks) to visit family later on this summer.  We'd love to meet up with some local investors.
