Its always great to hear success stories like this-keeps us all motivated and focused. I couldn't agree with you more@George Foster , this is a great example of what the power of networking is really about. I had such a great time at the last Chicago meet up and met some great people. I have a potential deal in the works from meeting someone that night, so I can testify myself to this. It just goes to say that representing yourself in a professional manner, being honest and upfront with people when you meet them, explaining what it is that you do and what you're looking for, among many other things, will yield you great results and be very beneficial to your business. Love hearing these stories. Congrats again@Raji Kaur , look forward to hearing future success stories.

That does seem kind of risky, but if it works for you then by all means continue. I agreeJon Holdman , I would really be uncomfortable with giving a stranger that type of access to my property. I also feel that first in-person meeting is very important so you can put a face with the voice, and also continue with your screening of the prospective tenant. Just my two cents at least.

Hello BP Community,

I wanted to ask a question to see if someone could help me out. I was looking up some vacant property addresses in cook county, IL to see if I could locate the owner on the county tax assessors website. The information regarding the owner of the property is not coming up. Can anyone shed any light on where I may be able to find this information? I would greatly appreciate any input on the matter. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, it just doesn't seem to kosher to me@Russell Ponce . I guess different strokes for different folks though. I'll just stick with building solid relationships with people; hasn't steered me wrong yet...

Post: Broker License In Multiple States

Hello BP community. I had a quick question I wanted to ask and see if anyone could shed some light on the topic. I recently finished my IL brokers licensing course, and will be taking the state exam to get licensed in about 2 weeks. Towards the end of next year I will be moving my family to Michigan. The question I wanted to ask is what are the fees associated with holding your license on an annual basis in IL and in MI? I know if I am closing deals on a regular basis then it will pay for itself, but I just wanted to have a better understanding of what the financial requirements would be to hold multiple licenses. If anyone can provide information I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I wanted to ask about a recent message I received stating that I've been banned from sending any messages to people on the site. I was looking to connect with people from the Chicago area, and I sent about 4 requests to connect and on the 5th one I received the message. I would push the connect request button, and my message was simply, " Looking to connect with like-minded individuals in the field." It is now preventing me from sending any messages to anyone on the site. I am not sending anything spam related, so if the objective here on the site is to network and to educate  ourselves by learning from others, why does this take place? Am I doing something wrong....??@Joshua Dorkin
