I’m a representative with TransUnion SmartMove. I apologize for your trouble with the coupon - the coupon code "bgrpktsstd" is a $5 off coupon. From your screenshot it appears there may have been a bug in the system that prevented the full charge amount from displaying. A company may use dozens of different credit score models based on the requirements of different lenders in different industries. As an example, a mortgage company will get a different score than a company providing credit card loans, since they are looking for different types of credit history and credit factors. The TransUnion SmartMove model is a score developed specifically for the rental industry. To add a quick clarification – the recommendation provided by SmartMove is based on the applicant’s credit and income profile and how much risk you’re willing to accept in a tenant. We combine these criteria to deliver a custom recommendation for each applicant.

I’m a representative with TransUnion SmartMove. To help answer your questions - if the landlord chooses renter pay, the credit report is automatically included, which causes the “view credit report” field to be grayed out. The credit report is only sent to the landlord.

SmartMove will not send the landlord’s decision to the tenant until the landlord chooses to do so. In order to send the decision to the renter, the landlord will have to click on the “Make Decision” button on their dashboard. They will be presented with the option to Accept, Accept w/ Conditions, or Decline the applicant.

I'm a representative with Transunion SmartMove. To confirm what others have said, the landlord can receive a detailed report for $30 including tradeline information. However, we do mask some personal identifiers such as SSN and DOB for security purposes.

The article is geared more towards employment screening vs. rental screening. The compliance regulations for rental screening enable us to provide criminal records instantly with no delay in the search results – although the availability of data online varies by county and state. Our criminal data for the state of Mississippi includes: a search of Mississippi Department of Corrections data, Sex Offender data, Mississippi Parole Board data, and Felony and Misdemeanor records from Hinds County and Harrison County. I hope this helps answer your question.
