@Grace Walser North Carolina makes it very clear that security deposits from trusts need to be kept in a NC bank or a bank that operates in NC and it must be in a trust account. Our state did not require this before so that was new to me. The NC General Assembly chapter 42 has some pretty solid information to read through for Landlord and Tenant

Also welcome to the lake!

Tiamo here from the product team. At BPCon and in the past few months investors I chatted with said they need help meeting more folks that can help them keep their money and grow their money. Some wanted a bookkeeper to help run their books while others needed a wealth manager to grow that cash they got from their deals and others a CPA to file their taxes. Our community is very large so I wanted to ask if folks would take 5 minutes to complete this survey so I can get more information on solving your current needs on BiggerPockets when it comes to partnering with the right financial professionals.

Thanks in advance!!

@Robert Ellis I have a few designs on input fields I would like to share with folks. But we have a few different folks from the product team at the booth at any given time so there will always be new fun things to share.

Or booth is in the center of the room, to the left of the bookstore. Hope to see you all there.

The agenda was so action packed this year we were not able to setup an event for just the insiders. But I will be at the product table Monday from 3-4pm. Stop by and say hi if you have time!

A few years ago I hired a great CPA to help me with both my personal tax filing and to guide me for my rental taxes. But as I think about growing my real estate portfolio I am wondering if there are additional financial experts I need to be thinking about? Who are you guys using and for what?

I do think this is an age thing. A lot of products that are targeting folks in their 20s emojis are used quite frequently, but 40+ they only seem to use them in their text messages versus value proposition. There will also be people in either group that are outliers but that is what I am seeing.

@Rebecca Smith we don't offer a shared membership. The goal is that we are building a community with a lot of diverse people and perspectives on the platform so that we can all learn and grow our real estate investing. So other investors, and others running companies, want to get to know you individually from your partner and what thoughts and questions and advice you have to share. Hope that helps a little on the why it is set up the way it is.

Also, welcome to the community, so glad you are here!

@Russell Brazil that is not correct. For the Agent Finder the investor sees a list of Agents in their market. The investor then is able to review the agents reviews, and information that the agent provides and the investor then chooses the number of agents they wish to reach out to. We do not send the information to four agents or any set number, that would be a terrible experience for an investor and for agents. We want our investors and agents to find a mutually beneficial relationship so they can both benefit. Our investors are savvy though so they often do reach out to more than one agent in order to interview them and find the best partner for their investing strategy so that might be more of what you experienced.
