So lets say I want to wholesale and I buy a list from Listsource and plan to send out yellow letters.

If I market to say, the Dallas area, there are a ton of other wholesalers who I'm sure have marketed to the same potential leads (absentee owners, etc)

So why would a potential lead respond to my marketing over someone else's?

Haven't these same absentee owners been hit with a dozen other yellow letters from other wholesalers?

I wouldn't dismiss some of the so called "guru" stuff completely.....I have found alot of good info there for free....between Bigger Pockets, and Sean Terry and Matt Therialut's podcasts you can get all the steps to wholesaling. All for free.

Here on BP I believe @Jerry Puckett has posted some contracts, etc. He did a podcast on wholesaling that was great, as did Aaron Mazrillo just last week......put all those things together and theres everything you need to know for free. Of course then there are your local REI meetings where you can network and ask questions.

Looks like Franklymls in for the DC/MD areas only.....Zillow is national.

This might not matter to you since you are in MD.

I hear about people sending out several hundred (if not more) yellow letters a month. Who are you sending them to? Where are you getting the addresses?

I have dont some driving around neighborhoods where I see potential but only seeing a couple opportunities here and there.......so where are you getting the names and addresses of all those people?

Thanks!
