I would ask for an extra amount of money for a deposit to be specifically applied to any humidity damage from the grow process.  In my experience, even when legal, growers tend to keep their homes clean, don't have wild parties and will pay their rent before anything else [ plants not easy to transport] And if you're lucky, at Christmas he will give you something a little better than an 'I Love My landlord" t-shirt.

Just make sure that you are not responsible for the electrical bill.  It could easily triple. Also, if this is being done inside the house [versus an area in garage or a shed] find out what their watering system is to prevent water damage.

I recently put Smart Tiles, Bellagio, model SM1034-6 in my travel trailer kitchen.  It was NOT cheap, either in appearance or price.Luckily we have a connection that gave us a great deal. It applied easily, did not peel off.  The Tiles are NOT plastic.  They are made of something called GEL-O and they are beautiful and super easy to clean.

I have seen the cheap stick and peel, and they did look cheap, but so does the cheap "real stuff."

We have tentatively scheduled putting the exact same model of tiles in my sons' new rental towards the end of October.

The best advise I ever received is "Don't believe everything you think."

Back in the day, I picked the price range, schools and type of neighborhood when I rented.  It was my kids who picked out the actual place.  This made the actual move and adjustment more like an adventure than a traumatic event.

I am helping my son to fix up his rental. He is considering section 8.  The house has a newer roof, newer windows, electrical and plumbing. New flooring, painting, countertops, all around refurbishing is being worked on now.  This place will be cute, clean, and beautiful.

I would like to know what some of the problems are that section 8 landlords have had to fix before being approved, as some seem a little strange and easy to miss [such as a drip pan under the stove.  I didn't even know that there was supposed to be a drip pan under the stove or even what they look like]  I read where someone failed because the cabinet boxes were not freshly painted.

What are the things most commonly missed at inpection?

sometimes I wonder if some of the BP members are Brandon Turner groupies.  BTW, not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but I am thinking he has a dozen clones.

My 20 year old son purchased his first "fix and hold" a couple of weeks ago.[ It is starting to look supercute BTW] He bought it cash but will owe a few thousand on it for rehab before it is ready to be rented. He is planning on saving and buying another one in the next 2 or 3 years.

While researching today, he discovered that Warren Buffet, Gates, Trump, and Kiyosaki are all promoting MLM now.  What do you all think?

Also, LJ is into anime, BIGTIME and was hoping that someone might have ideas on how he can make money off of this special interest.

Also, I would just like to thank BP members.  my son has a neurological illness that throws him into excruciating pain. He is also Autistic, but in our family we consider that a "superpower"more than a disability. my husband and I are both old [how did that happen?] and seriously ill. Until LJ decided to buy the house he always said he would, we worried constantly about his future.  Thanks to the support and advice here, i am no longer afraid about that. Thank you.
