Hello, and welcome to our forum!

It seems that after a person does their first deal, they
know better what it is they don't know.

Coming as you do with your first deal under your
belt, I think you will find this forum most helpful.
At least I certainly have.

Best wishes!

Hello! and welcome from a fellow Texan.

We're glad you're here. On the first Thursdays of the
month is the DFW investors club meeting. Hundreds
attend it and about 40 sponsors set up booths.

Read more in the thread about events. While it is not
free, it is not too expensive to attend.

Again, welcome.

And to think that GoWolverines didn't even charge you
for that advice.

Excellent replies to an excellent question.

Stay away from foreclosures at the start.

I know what he's talking about.

Students are sometimes assigned to spend a day with
someone in a career that they are thinking about
entering.

If they think they want to be a chef, spend a day in
a restaurant with a chef seeing how easy and stress
free that job is.

Spending a day with a realtor would be good if...
that realtor has stuff to do that day. Many realtors are
twiddling their thumbs these days as there are few
buyers. But maybe not.

The place to check is with your local real estate investors
club. The leaders of it would know someone in the trade
you could shadow, and could give you good advice about it.

be helpful to you?
