By that logic, you would have to do the same thing for salt & pepper shakers, sugar, spices, condiments, etc. 

It can get hot than a serano pepper. 

You make a lot of wild assumptions peppered with hyperbole that don't serve you well.

I carry a weapon daily; many I know carry other, non-lethal forms of self defense; pepper spray, mace, etc.

Pepper sprays can actually be used against you for instance if there is wind outside it can blow back into your eyes.
