Prices in IL are rising and rising fast! 250k I would say is condo price range at this point. If you are looking in the city it may need to be a 1 bed 1 bath or a place that is a bit far from city limits

@Badrul "Jamal" Vajihuddin you need a great leasing agent who is on the field and in tune with the marketplace and tenants in the area for the south side of chicago imo. Many larger companies will do this however there will be folks who can work with you on this if you provide them a steady stream of properties

@Dain Hungelmann 79th is boundary line if you will for it to start to get rough... Anything below 79th I would take a long hard look at and do research because chances are it is not a great pocket

John, Matteson is a great area in the south suburbs probably one of my favorite down there. Several others are solid as well such as South Holland and Lansing. The numbers are great here and the homes are typically found in good condition however the taxes are a bit higher than vs Chicago. Would love to chat to pick your brain regarding this!
