I have learned but have not gotten a service as of yet, but a Skip tracing service you can try. Like REIskip, skipgenie, or I have just been using Superwhitepages. You have about a 20% chance of finding it.

Be careful, make sure bird dogging is legal in NC. See this or call your state real estate commission for the answer.
