Agree sue the new owner they are trying to slip one by you what do they have to lose nothing.

You need to help your lawsuit get an expert to give you estimate with great detail, offer to pay them some money for the report don’t try to play tight wad and get a free estimate that looks weak.

The cost may not be earth shattering hard to say.
