Congrats on the purchase ! One other item to consider is the amount of management you will be performing (turnover, management of cleanings, etc.) with the Mid Term vs. the Long Term will be a LITTLE more passive.

Really depends on where you want to spend your time and if the $$$ is worth the squeeze and time dedication.

Good luck!

@John Logue unfortunately I experienced the opposite! Take it as a blessing. As long as you have the same coverage that covers the current value of the properties replacement, and loss of rents, this is a good day for you!

We hope to see you there!

@Michael H. Cook has a great article on this area I think could be helpful!

Hey @Skylar Bennett, house hacking is the natural first step. Most will say duplex, but these assets are too competitive and will have sufficient negative cash flow after moving out.  Right now I think the best option is a 1-3 bedroom condo in particular areas of the district.  Rent out the rooms, live there for 2-3 years (potentially refinance into better financing if FED relaxes), repeat.

good luck!

Welcome @Calvin Huang .  Biggerpockets is a great resource, but the key is getting connected with individuals who are actively investing and practicing in the area! Continue to stay on the forms, learn as much as you can, and continue to bring value! The eduction will naturally come.
